Our group had a great time enjoying The amazing view. The outdoor seating is perfect for the late summer evening. Friendly staff. Delicious cocktails and desserts. Appetizers and entrees are good. A tad limited menu but the gorgeous sunset made up for it.

Impeccable service, our waiter was super attentive despite our 2 kids which disrupted our brunch experience. The steak tartar was really good, way above my expectations. My friends had a tuna burger and regular burger. I tried both and they were great, as well as french fries. This place is perfect for the outdoor brunch with some glam if you want and wonderful marina views. But inside is also great with a lot of tables.

So this place came highly reviewed from social media but clearly they paid for it. I booked a reservation here for my birthday dinner, clearly stated it was a my birthday but never had I felt so insignificant for my birthday. Our waiter barely acknowledged our presence and I’m going to assume it was because they were possibly short staffed and that was never communicated to us. It wasn’t because we’re the only people of color seated outside. We got our water glasses only filled 3/4 of the way ONE time. We ordered our shrimp appetizer that was tasty, and our entree and our waiter disappeared until we were clearly uncomfortable and twiddling our fingers anxious to leave. He provided the check, and didn’t ask if we wanted any dessert or how our meal was. 😒 I chose the salmon on ancient grains (barley & quinoa) and my husband had the steak frites and the fries were delicious. The steak and the salmon were missing flavor which we added when we got home. Never again for us. If you’re into nice views of boats on the Hudson by all means enjoy.

The disco music should have been a clue. A year ago we had a wonderful meal at the Liberty, augmented by a live music serenade from a traveling violinist. Although I don’t remember what we had for dinner, we left sated and happy. We wanted to relive that experience a year later. Instead, we had to fight fruit flies all.evening.long and finally removed oil-covered lettuce to the planter next to us to try to steer the bugs in that direction - see pic. It worked to some extent, but there went our greenery. When my partner mentioned the bugs to our waiter, he said, "Did you order sweet drinks?" as if we'd brought it on ourselves. If the bugs are a problem outside, don't seat people outside. It wasn't like there weren't any tables available inside - see pic. The restaurant was completely empty, and on a gorgeous Friday evening, that's just odd. The food was just OK - the pasta was cold and the steak tartare was meh. Our water glasses were never refilled, and it was hot out that night. Also, we ordered cocktails before dinner, and mentioned the wine we'd like with dinner when we ordered. The food came way too quickly (I guess that pasta had been ready for a long time...) and we had cocktails and wine at the same time - ? The soundtrack never shifted from disco. Maybe that’s great if you’re at a retro party at a club, but it doesn’t fly when you’re trying to have a lovely dinner to kick off Labor Day weekend. Maybe this place changed ownership - by the time we left, even many of the outdoor tables were empty, and this place is usually (or used to be usually) jumping on a Friday night. Our waiter seemed completely surprised when we told him our experience was less than ideal. We were too, honestly. You can't beat the views here (hence the two stars) but do yourself a favor and pick another waterfront restaurant.

The view is amazing, and the service of Bryan and Ellie added to the great food made us come back for lunch the next day. The croque monsieur, steak tartar, and the brunch just great! The manager is always on top of service and customers. Will be back!
