I had a nice birthday dinner here, the food is really good. The calamari is not fried so being very tender, it’s good for me but my boyfriend is not so used to it. The hanger stake is flavorful, perfect match with the steamed vegetables that served together with. The banana pudding is a must try as well. Note that for the CC payment they only accept Amex.
3 months agoPerfection in French cuisine from a true hole in the wall / neighborhood gem. Best seared Foie I’ve ever had, including in France! The deck was immaculate too, as was the baked goat cheese tart. Really everything was sublime!! Even the prices were quite reasonable for SoHo. The wine was so good too!! Love the map in the menu to help show where all the regions are. And service was excellent to boot. Cannot recommend highly enough!!! Just go!!
3 months agoWent here for an anniversary with my partner and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, and the food was incredible. We had the escargot and goat cheese tart to start, and both were great, but the goat cheese tart was a standout. My partner ordered the rack of lamb, and I had Tournedos Rossini, and both were outstanding. Very flavorful and rich. We had the banana brûlée and Iles Flottantes for dessert and both of those were great as well, but the illes flottantes stood out. I 100% would come back.

2 weeks agoCame here for restaurant week dinner and a bit disappointed. I was excited to visit and so many good reviews but didn't feel on par. Service was great and professional. Quaint and small place. Intimate I presume but can also hear servers talking. Wish restaurant week menu had better options. Not sure why escargot wasnt represented or understood tartar was an entree. Soup looked great, froi gras good but very heavy and one more crostini would have helped, watermelon salad was nothing special. We got hanger steaks. Mine had a lot of butter, small pool, first bite and I just wanted salt. The sides were kind of whatever. Carrot puree was good and buttery, but the others were just sauteed sides and blanched brocolli better seasoned than my steak. The potato was ok but came out smaler than the desserts. And desserts were lacking. Too much powdered sugar that I coughed in as I was taking a bite. Just two thin hollow pastries split and filled with house made whip. The whip was good but come on it's not hard to make. And the pastries look bought. I feel I've had a cheesecake or tiramisu more worth it from past restaurant week dinner menus. The other dessert was hard and unexpected but tasted great. Overall, didnt seem like a restaurant week dinner. Didnt really make me excited about French food. And felt really cheap with the half cherry tomato on my plate (literally just one half of a small tomato), with the edible flower, and especially after getting the check with kid's lollipops sticking out. For a $60 meal, it felt cheap and embarrassing. I wish we were told the fish was stripped bass or whatever. The table next to us asked and it sounded good. It just felt like we picked the least interesting things or something but at the same time nothing interesting was showcased
