Lovely morning spent at Ole & Steen! 💕 We stayed at the Waldorf London and by far, this was the best coffee shop nearby! It was close to our hotel, right across from Waterloo bridge, and had the best view from the inside while we enjoyed our coffee and baked goods! MUST TRY their Cinnamon Social Slices!😍😍 My toddler son ate the whole thing by himself so I had to get another one.. 🤭🤭

Picked this week’s loaf though I never tried the regular ones in the shelf—who can resist an oat-covered/seeded shell? It’s quite salty for a loaf—comparable to and probably even more salty than pretzel. I don’t have to put salt in my morning scrambled egg. Inside it is denser than normal sourdough with smaller bubbles. The starter and fermentation might have given it a toast-like texture. Moist and keeps well. Pastries look delicious.

The cafe was full when I visited it at 4 pm. There was no place to sit inside, so I grabbed and went off to a calm place to enjoy the snack. I got their famous cinnamon social. I was recommended by instagram to try this famous sweet, and I honestly would give it 3.5/5. This was first time I tried cinnamon in the sweet form so may be it would take time for me to adjust with the taste bit overall it was good, I loved that it easily gets melted in the mouth and every bite was so flavourful.

Even late in the afternoon there is still plenty of pastries to choose from. 4* as few times it felt it wasn’t as fresh, but still delicious. Good location to pick up something in the rush hour

Beautiful cafe! The staff are lovely, welcoming and attentive and the food and coffee are some of the best I’ve had at cafes around The Strand! Lots of tables and space and also plugs and wifi for laptops. It has become my regular work spot and I always look forward to coming in!
