Very good restaurant for traditional Icelandic Smørrebrød! They have a wide variety to choose from, plus additional dishes. Service was good and friendly too.
3 months agoIcelandic smørrebrød restaurant that feels very authentic. Nice welcome on entry. Nice accessable menu with a few duo options for those that get daunted by the many options. The salmon and egg was delicious!! Very fast getting food after we'd ordered. Good dessert selection. The limoncello cheesecake was ace!
3 months agoGet a authentic taste of Iceland after hiking Reykjadalur with openface salmon sandwiches and other savory choices. All the food is very fresh and well made. The pastrami and au jus is the perfect pair. The salmon is tender and very smoky as if they just smoked it out back. The restaurant itself is small and quiet. Staff is bilingual and friendly. Food comes quickly. Dessert was limited (it’s a very popular menu) and was delicious. French chocolate cake was just enough sweet with whipped milk crème (very little sugar it. Good pair. ) is a wonderful after dinner treat. Lemon tart was also portioned well and satisfying I highly recommend this for dates or get together with friend and family especially after the hot springs.
4 months agoIt is not hard to spot when there is passion into things. Here indeed they love what they do. The food is all good and curated but the lemon tart is something. The best I’ve ever eaten in my life and I don’t eat other deserts basically.
6 months agoNordic restaurant serving traditional dishes of smorsbrød of exceptional quality and service. Each of the waiters and waitresses were so excited to share their dishes and flavors with us and ensured we tried all their recommended favorite selections of food and drinks. They even brought out a cookbook to show us photos and typical dishes they serve and recommend. The beef tartare as well as the peeled shrimp with poached egg and Hollandaise can’t be beat!
