Best Japanese dinner experience I had in NYC. The restaurant is small which makes the atmosphere quiet and intimate. The entire dinner was about two and half hours. Everything is so fresh. The waiter would tell u detailed info about the ingredients and their recommendations about the way to taste the food.

All ingredients are super fresh and great quality, especially the scallops and uni, chef's technique is just unbelievably amazing. Our server is super friendly and professionally trained! They explained how the dishes are prep and cooked, even recommend which sauce and seasoning we can pair it with. Most important part, he likes anime The place has limited seating, 6 total. It feels very cozy and the ambiance is great

First of all, the atmosphere does not fit to the price. The interior was pretty old, not organized, and on my seating, I could even see all the dirty parts from the kitchen; Opened cracker on the self, directly watching the server doing dishes while eating, even the bathroom was pretty bad. For the taste, I would not say it was bad, but it was not special and not surprised at all, and there was some dishes not good. And also I should say about the time. It was 8pm reservation. When I get there, previous party was bot finished, and server started to clean at 8pm. The first course came out after 30 minutes, and everything came out very very slowly. The course was not that long, but it took 3 hours, which was time wasting. Personally I think it was kind of wasting my time and money.

I have never had an experience like this in my life. Amazing food, amazing people, amazing everything. I went with my girlfriend and we were both extremely happy with how the night went. Ari, and Atsushi are master’s at what they do, great customer service and great food. I would recommend this to everybody, have an open mind and you will be rewarded with great dishes and experiences.

If you are a foodie and want something unique this is for you, chef knows how to play with texture and uses only highest quality ingredients with many of them from Japan, already went twice in 6 weeks. Customer service is excellent, sake recommendations are perfect! Definitely listen to their dipping sauce recommendations👍🏻will return again and again
