Great place for classic Cantonese banquet style dinners! It was a very lively (loud) place but the food is fantastic. The crowning glory was the King Crab! It was brought out to show us live and served three ways - steamed with garlic and scallions, batter-fried and as stir-fried noodles in the shell. The manager was very efficient and she and her team ensured we were well taken cared of. Highly recommended for groups celebrating. There were a number of birthdays and even a wedding party with us!
3 months agoNice place to get Chinese cuisine, especially if you are hungry or with a large group. Consider trying the roast duck and mixed mushroom with Japanese tofu. Would recommend ordering rice on the side for the duck. A half serving of the roast duck should be more than enough for two people. They also offer complimentary dessert, which in our case was mango jelly. While the duck was delicious, it was also quite greasy. The mixed mushroom and tofu was also great, although a bit salty. The place is conveniently located near a subway stop. Consider coming here before 6pm if you are planning dinner, as the place can get busy.
3 months agoWu’s is great. We had the set menu for a group of 8. Working out at about $100 each, tip included. This brought us three rounds of every food on the menu. Everything was delicious. From spring rolls as thick as your arm to beautifully delicate chicken. Mountains of noodles, rice etc all came well after we’d filled up on delicacies. The highlights are the Dungeness crab - battered in a spicy coating and fresh when cracked open - the steamed buns and the lamb shanks. But honestly, everything food wise is amazing. Atmosphere is a typical Chinatown spot - fluorescent lights, tear away table cloths and very busy all night (it should be, it’s good!) the staff are very fast and working hard all night. It’s BYO wine or spirits. It is NOT BYO beer - they will take that and hand it back as they sell beer already. A great night out for friends meeting back up.
2 months agoFood and services was excellent. Unfortunately, we chose to sit outside and it got pretty warm for me but fortunately, at the same time, they have fans there to oush the air around. We ordedred their signature wonton, Beef Chow Fun, Stir Fried String Bean, Salt and Pepper Seafood, and Bass Filet. Everything was delicious.
