Toro loco is a pretty funky bar/restaurant in New York. I was with a friend and googled what was open it was almost 9 pm. And found this place. We ordered the wings they came out super fast. There a little inconsistent with the texture some where soft some where very dry. The flavour was very sweet :-( My friend ordered the steak taco the steak was nice but I personally found it wasn’t the best quality and some was dry. I asked the waiter what was nicer the fish taco or the shrimp he was like shrimp, I said I’ll have one serve of them. He brought out pork taco 😩. I sent them back and I pretty much got fish tacos instead. Well it tasted more of deep friend fish then prawns! They double wrapped the taco so it was very doughy and filling. This restaurant has a lot of room for improvements.

To be honest, below average food, and poor service doesn’t do any justice to the high ratings and great reviews on Google Maps. We were literally two people in the restaurant and 10 mins after we reached, the servers were busy watching something on their phone. I had to reach out to them and gave my order voluntarily. Other than the fact that it has very good atmosphere and close to Statue of Liberty, there is nothing worth mentioning about this restaurant.

I’m visiting New York for the first time, is my third day after a lot of rain finally some sun. I just came back from the Statue of Liberty and we found this place. OMG, the food is incredible is good food, we ate the chimichangas a beer and a toro loco cocktail. Everything was great. The set is awesome as well, very Mexican and they are really kind. I will come back and came here again. Recommended 100%.

Nice atmosphere… friendly staff…. Came here for the first time and it was great! The environment is truly one of a kind… Food was amazing! I loved The nachos … guacamole appetizer and my carne asada… Definitely would recommend this if in NY.

we stopped by this place to check it out and try some of the Mexican food in New York but to be honest, the food was not that great and underdelivered. the staff was really nice. The place was really cool and hip, nice environment and atmosphere but the food was a little kind of bland and it was like eating microwave dinner.
