I came in at the opening of dinner without a reservation. They let me sit by the window since I'd be done by 6:30. I ordered the three course meal which included a coffee cured salmon appetizer that included melon slices and granola. The main dish was a cod fish with peppers. The dessert was a custard with strawberries and caramel. The servers were very friendly and prompt. The meal was nice. Wonderful experience.

Fantastic dinner tonight! Each dish was delicious and meticulously prepared. The fish were all cooked perfectly and the sauces were flavorful. Would definitely return. Dessert was good, but not memorable.

Truly amazing from the servers to the food to the look and feel of the restaurant. We had the ling fish and lamb ribeye which were both outstanding. We also had the Icelandic ceviche and two amazing cocktails. You will not regret eating here. The servers were also so friendly, helpful, and funny.

I wish this place had been better. Nice, if occasionally slow service, but the food was surprisingly a big miss. Presentation was beautiful and portion sizes were generous, but the flavors were heavy handed and dishes overly rich. My coffee cured salmon starter missed an acid component and was dripping in sweet sauces. To make matters worse, the fish was wrapped around cream cheese. I didn't order a bagel. The granola that was sprinkled around was soggy when it should have added a crunchy texture. For my main, I ordered the black tagliatelle with cod and shrimp. This was a touch better but still a major fail. It was overly sauced, again dripping, and the crumble on the fish tasted like a sprinkle of straight bullion cube. The fish was well cooked, however. My husband didn't fare much better with his dishes. His salmon main was OK, but we both wished the chef had edited down on flavors. There is such thing as too much. And here too, overly rich and heavy.

The traditional lamb soup was delicious. I had the meal size and it was filling. Lots of veg and meat. The soup base was very full mouth feel (beautiful broth). One of the best I've had in Iceland. Service waa outstanding. A very nice ambiance. Best to reserve a table as it was very full by 19h on a Sunday night.
