Really good restaurant. Pizza was great and the narrow street with paintings of famous Croatian people gave it a really nice atmosphere.
a month agoCame for pizza, stayed for more traditional Croatian and other food: beef tartare, veal shank, and steak with duck fat and truffles. Very cool place, apparently oldest in the city :)
a year agoIf you want to eat well in total tranquility in the city centre, this is the place for you. Excellent meat and pizza, friendly service, clean and tidy toilets.
a week agoA very interesting pizza/hamburger restaurant in an alleyway. Self described oldest restaurant in the city. Wood fired oven (actually they have two?!), and grilled burgers. Plenty of different drinks (beers, wine, mixed drinks, soft drinks, etc), and great service. The pizza was thin crust with a side, chewy dough. Not my favorite wood fired pizza, but they make a decent pie. Really enjoyed the boat inside the restaurant and the various historical plaques and paintings throughout the alleyway. It could use a bit more of a breeze, but at least it was out of the sun!
4 years agoI give it 2 stars only because the food was decent. It is too dark to sit because of the unnecessary sunshade. The staff is super unprofessional, commenting how previous guests didn't leave a big tip (20 kn tip on 300 kn bill is small to them) and how one of the employees has missed work so basically gossiping amongst each other but you as a guest can hear everything. The service is slow, and the waiter kept adressing us in English even though we're obviously Croatian but he couldn't remember it with only 3 tables full. I've been there once 2 years ago and decided to try my luck one more time to no avail. Poor service. The food is fine, we had pizza, nothing spectacular but eatable.
